I have worked in the landscape industry in Northern Illinois for the past 4 years. Several things are very apparent to me that the government does not understand.
1.) Not all illegals want to become American citizens. In fact, most are just here to work and send money home so they are set up when they return to their country. All of this talk about paths to citizenship, from the President, does not mean a thing. Most of the illegals are going back to their country of origin with our money and will be supported further by the anchor babies they have deposited here.
2.) Secure the borders first. We need to stop the flood of people coming across our southern border. This needs to be done, while at the same time telling our southern neighbor " We are in control of who comes in, and your input is not necessary. Clean up your side, then come talk to us."
3.) Stop the anchor babies. Make a law that states that children born here are only citizens if their parents are here of legal jurisdiction.
How do we solve this problem???? Simple. Bank of America estimated that $24 billion was sent to Mexico last year. Impose a 10% fee on any money wired out to that country. This money goes to build the fence and increase border security.
Terminate all social services to illegals. THis could be done by cutting off all fed. monies to municpalities who have declared themselves safe haven municipalities. If law enforcement cannot enforce the laws stop the money. Any public school who educates illegals gets no more fed. money. Stop mandating emergency rooms take illegals.
If an illegal is caught here again after he has already been deported, he goes to a fed. work camp for 10 years.
If you cut off the entitlements, assess fees on thew money going back across the border and ENFORCE THE LAWS on he books this problem will solve itself.
This is the most critical issue we face as a country today. If this problem is not solved, nothing else matters.
